Danube River Basin Stakeholder Conference to be held in Budapest, 28-29 June 2005
The aim of the conference is to strengthen the input of all relevant stakeholder groups in view of a more active involvement as envisaged by article 14 of the EU Water Framework Directive.
In particular the conference will offer the opportunity to discuss recent developments and the planned steps on the following issues: Danube River Basin Analysis 2004 (Roof Report 2004 as requested by art. 5 of the WFD), the ICPDR Action Programme on Sustainable Flood Protection as well as the ICPDR concept for public participation.
In order to achieve a wide representation of stakeholders from all sectors and countries, ICPDR would like to solicit applications from organisations throughout the basin.
